Juxtaposition Magazine
''Juxtaposition Global Health Magazine'' is a student publication published twice a year by students at the University of Toronto. Originally started as an online magazine, the Magazine has recently expanded, and is due to publish its ninth issue in print in 2013. Articles focus on global health and international development issues. The magazine is associated with the University's Centre for International Health (), the University of Toronto Students' Union, the University of Toronto International Health Program (), and the Global Health Specialist Program (). The magazine's office is headquartered at Room 610, 21 Sussex Avenue on the University of Toronto's St. George campus.

''Juxtaposition Global Health Magazine'' (JGHM) is the University of Toronto's premiere peer-reviewed journalistic student publication on global health, in association with the Centre for International Health. With a special emphasis on topics that particularly impact the poor and marginalized internationally, ''Juxtaposition'' explores the essential health issues of our time in a novel and dynamic forum. The name "Juxtaposition" comes from the verb to juxtapose, defined as "the act or instance of placing two or more things side by side." Wherever possible, ''Juxtaposition'' seeks to include contrasting perspectives on global health issues in a wider social, economic, political and legal context.
Originally started as an online magazine (Juxtaposition eZine), ''Juxtaposition'' was founded by two University of Toronto alumni, Kadia Petricca and Michelle Chakkalackal in 2003. During the 2006/07 academic year, ''Juxtaposition'' went through a vigorous process of restructuring and institutionalizing which aimed to prepare the journal for future expansion and growth. During the 2007/08, the Juxtaposition team grew to over 30 staff members under the leadership of co-Editors-in-Chief Manisha Pahwa and Shane Shucheng Wong, found new sponsors at the University of Toronto Faculty of Postgraduate Medical Education and the McLaughlin-Rotman Centre for Global Health, and partnered with the University of Toronto International Health Program and the Toronto Addis Ababa Psychiatry Project on new outreach initiatives. The 2008/09 year, guided by new co-Editors-in-Chief Neill Mears and Stephen Chen, saw the publication of the fourth and issue titled "From Lab to Village", featuring interviews with Dr. Peter A. Singer, Dr. Abdallah Daar, and Dr. Alfred Sommer. In 2009/10, Brian Park and Jacqueline MK Wong took over as co-Editors-in-Chief and guided the production of "At Home and Abroad." In 2010/11, co-Editors-in-Chief Jennifer YY Kwan and Jacqueline MK Wong produced the sixth issue titled "Transcending Borders:Innovative approaches to health care delivery" and the seventh issue titled "Movers & Shakers: Recounting Experiences Abroad." In 2011/2012, co-Editors-in-Chief Maggie Siu and Kadia Petricca produced the seventh issue "Partners for an Educated Future: Strengthening Health Systems through Sustainable Partnerships."
